Émile Sornin aka Forever Pavot met Isaac Delusion's drummer Cédric Laban 15 years ago at an Iron Maiden concert in Paris. In 2019, they started recording music together that they called "punk-jazz" and went by the name La Récré, establishing a literally old-school aesthetic.

La Récré fuses the sound of melancholy 70's library music with hip-hop drum rhythms and a heavy dose of psychedelia. Émile Sornin and Cédric Laban already made a name for themselves in the French indie pop scene, and La Récré is this kind of under the radar side project where they can explore raw grooves and play with roaring delays and heavily reverbed keys.
