Agoro

Agoro (“crew” and “to play” in twi dialect) is a French-Ghanaian hip-hop group consisting of rappers Khofi Koojan (Kumasi), Kwame Mülzz (Ghent) and improv-rap duo Lobo EL and Cotchei (Nancy). The band's instrumental unit is made up of four musicians involved in various projects on BMM Records: Louis Treffel on keyboards and guitars, Quentin Thomas on saxophone and flute, Achille Landois on bass and double bass and Paul Lefèvre on drums.

Since 2018, back and forths between Nancy, Ghent and Kumasi brought together this creative line-up who quickly started writing and recording songs at the BMM Land studio. Their first single "No Bullshit" emerged in 2023, and the band went on tour in France. Reunited for the first time, they recorded new songs and got to perform their electrifying live set in front of a highly-receptive audience. The musicality of their repertoire, inspired by US hip-hop, French rap and the Kumerican movement, conveys socially conscious messages and draws the best from what this African-European cultural exchange has to offer.
