THE STORM WATCHERS

The Storm Watchers are a melodious surge of jazz, pushed by the winds of East France. This quartet is orchestrated by young composer and drummer Adrien Legay, member of electronica band M.A BEAT!, whose talents brought him across the Atlantic to join the prestigious Berklee College Of Music in Boston.
On the forecast: double bassist Julien Moneret and pianist Noé Degalle, as well as some strong winds coming out of Nicolas Gegout’s saxophones.
The second double single of The Storm Watchers, A Moment In Exile, a ballad in two compositions of 7 minutes each, showing a strong bias towards timeless post-bop and modal jazz sounds.
In 2022, The Storm Watchers release their first full-length EP, Mentors, made up of seven original compositions of raw, hypnotizing, slightly electronic jazz reminiscent of New York clubs, with improvised sequences stretching to more ambient planes.

MENTORS
One of BMM’s jazziest acts is back with a full-length EP. Seven new original compositions adds up to the quartet’s discography, triggered by a meditative reflection on people and events that guide us, inspire us, but who can also paralyze us completely. The Storm Watchers translate this feeling with raw, hypnotizing, slightly electronic jazz reminiscent of New York clubs, with improvised sequences stretching to more ambient planes, especially with the remixes by Colorado-based vaporwave producer ライフMIDI.
A MOMENT IN EXILE
BILLY’S CASTLE / THE PUSHER
Storm alert on the mountain tops of the Great East, where the horses gallop in the small hexagonal steppes. The forecast is Fender Rhodes rains, double-bass squalls, tenor saxophone lightnings, orchestrated by the infernal thunder of Adrien Legay’s drums. From the fusion of these four elements unleashed by a frenzied passion is born a tornado of blue notes reminiscent of good memories of the electric and ecstatic atmosphere of cottony jazz clubs.
